The real story about Caffeinated...oh yeah unabriged edition...

Many years ago, like one and a half, in the confines of the Readington Middle School, this group of kids had a crazy idea.  They might start a band, and call themselves the Hooligan Busters, busting all the hooliganated (is that a word?) kids in their way.  Then it was decided that one such as mikekunka was not good enough for the band.  He was booted.  At this time, hosay took over the spot known to many as "Lead Guitar" and jdo picked up a position, sometimes referred to as "Bassist", with germ remaining at "Drums".  The problem was, there was no direction.  Eventually, the band ended up changing its name.  The Hooligan Busters, protectors of all that is good and heartful, became an emo-influenced thing called Living In Yesterday.  Whoever came up with that, we're not sure, but it didn't last long.  It changed yet again, to an even better name, which was Crap Napkin.  If you didn't notice, a crap napkin could be toilet paper. So the band was called, hypothetically, "toilet paper".  At this point, mikekunka stepped in.  Back in, should we say.  And he picked up a position known as "Backup/Rhythm Guitar", aka - noob in the band. This was the rise of the band.

The name was changed, finally, to Caffeinated.  The name was, oddly enough, thought up by Jdo in Candy Co. gazing at a strawberry lollipop. It means like energy, sugar, speed, life, happiness, movement, and general misbehavior.  At one point, somewhere between then and now, hosay left the band on its own.  mikekunka picked up the spot known as "Lead Guitar", where he stands to this day.

jdo had a number of good songs, and he had them recorded too.  In Mid-June of 2003, he let out a few copies of the so-called "Demo", but it did not get very far.  Whoops start over guys.  So the new direction of the band was basically to follow in the footsteps of the Detroit-native Suicide Machines, incorporation some skacore into punk, in a fast-paced mix of craziness.  We then realized that trying to be like someone was more beat than selling out.  Start again.  We realized we need some horns.  Enter Taylor (sax), Marc (sax), Nathan (trombone) and Dan (trumpet).  This caused our music to now become a contrast or maybe a mix of the Suicide Machines, Catch 22, Bob Marley, Big D And The Kids Table, Buck-O-Nine, Distorted Penguins, SGR, Goldfinger, Guttermouth, Mustard Plug, MxPx, Operation Ivy, Rancid, and Slapstick.  This created a wild blend of punk/ska/reggae/swing/stuff.  Ryan Rollero was quoted as saying something to the effect of "swing ska...with a hint of reggae."  Then, write 12:45, "USOA".  Incorporate horns and BAM we've got music.  Next thing we know BAM we've got a show at Hamilton Street and BAM we're awesome.  BAM. peace.
